“All the best love stories have one thing in common, you have to go against the odds to get there.”

What did the Dermatologists told me? No cure. Live on Steroids for the rest of my life.

I refused to believe that. I kept telling myself that there is a better way - a natural way as I believe foods can be our medications or poisons and I chose to research foods that will heal me.

Several months down the road of clean-eating and juicing since late 2014, I witnessed changes in my energy level and also my overall health condition especially what was apparent none other than my skin. To my dismay what I thought was a detox stage went a little wilder (actually nastier) than I'd imagined to be and mentally prepared for - an elimination stage which I persevered. Weeks gone by and my skin had gotten worsen more than ever. I was never going to give up and I was going to heal myself. I reached out to a naturopath Mr Arul, The Low Histamine Chef, Hanna from Beyond Fit in the UK (she healed herself from psoriasis by following a programme - which I have adapted for my personal healing and I will share with you in my future posts), Dr Nicolas - an Osteopath Practitioner from One Osteo Plaza Damas, my friend Damiano Ciranna who introduced me to a Spiritual Healer Pak Jero from Bali. I am truly grateful to each one of you. Thank you!

What’s coming in my future posts will include the story of each individual who have helped me through out my healing journey. So stay tuned for more.

Right now, let’s stroll down the romance lane of Mr Green and me……

On 27th March 2015, Hanna from Beyond Fit, introduced Mr Green to me. It wasn’t love at first sight. He was green (duh!).

As my ultimate goal was to heal myself, I followed religiously Hanna’s programme and made some adaptations for my personal healing. Whether it was love at first sight or not, I had to learn to love Mr Green. Evidently our romance bloomed as I saw Mr Green in a different light - Sexy, versatile…and even luscious to the taste.

Like most faithful devoted lovers, Mr Green was with me throughout the bad times. I had him twice a day - before breakfast and bedtime. A ritual so it has been.

All Things Nice, This is What Mr Green is Made Of:

Ingredients A:

2 stalks of celery

2 green apples

1 handful of baby spinach

1 cucumber

Ingredients B:

1/2 - 1 avocado

1 tablespoon of Udo’s Oil

1 tablespoon of Moringa Leaves in Powder form (I got them from Bali) *this was the adaptation I made from Hanna’s original recipe.

Final Ingredient: A BUCKET FULL OF SELF LOVE

Run ingredients A through a slow juicer. Blend all ingredients B together and mix the blended ingredients into the green juice. Stir well together with A BUCKET FULL OF SELF LOVE and enjoy Mr Green.

My dear friend Michelle has given me some Moringa to try and not long after that I came to learn more about it when I was in Bali. It’s a storehouse of nutrients and medicinal chemicals especially for skin, hair and of course overall health. It contains all the essential amino acids our body requires in addition to Vit C, beta carotene, abundance quantities of minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper and manganese. It also include Quercetin which is a powerful antioxidant - flavanoid. Moringa is also an immune stimulant, it balances sugar level (therefore extremely effective against diabetics) and stimulates metabolism. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties it is perfect for the condition I had.

As in my earlier post I have covered Avocado being an amazing fruit helps your body to adsorb nutrient dense foods better when combined.

Now that the storm is finally over, I get to dance and embrace the 7 shades of rainbow.

If you decide to follow my bliss, then stay tuned for more…coming soon!

Lots of love,

Aina
